You purchase them from the shop (or receive them from events), drop them on conveyors, and grinders convert them into gems whose purity drives buyer offers. Choosing the wrong geode tier wastes cash, clogs belts, and makes rebirth feel slower than it should. S Tier — buy as soon as affordable

Dark Geode

Dark Geodes sit at the sweet spot for most mid-game accounts. They cost noticeably more than Crystal but push purity high enough that buyer negotiations jump without requiring endgame grinders. Automation-friendly players target Dark batches because the profit per minute stabilizes once your main line includes at least one A-tier grinder from Grinders Tier List.

Dark geodes also pair well with totems that boost purity growth. If you own a Purity Totem ranked highly on Totems Tier List, Dark becomes temporary S+ until you unlock Prismatic.

Prismatic Geode

Late mid-game and early rebirth farmers should pivot to Prismatic Geodes when cash reserves allow. They demand faster grinders and upgraded conveyors, but the sale price curve rewards players who already learned negotiation timing from buyer guides. Prismatic is S-tier only if your slowest grinder is Diamond-tier or better — otherwise downgrade to Dark until throughput catches up.

A Tier — strong bridges

Crystal Geode

Crystal Geodes are the workhorse between tutorial ore and Dark. New players exiting Getting Started should bulk-buy Crystal until Dark is consistently affordable without draining negotiation reserves. Crystal purity is high enough to practice buyer rejects without risking bankruptcy on a bad batch.

Crystal stays A-tier forever as a budget refill when you overspend on grinder upgrades and need geodes immediately. Keep a cash buffer rather than downgrading to Basic out of panic.

Radiant Geode

Radiant Geodes appear in some shop rotations and event bundles. They outperform Crystal on purity per minute when discounted but rarely beat Dark at full price. Treat Radiant as A-tier sale purchases only.

B Tier — situational

Basic Geode

Basic Geodes are tutorial staples. They process instantly on starter grinders and teach the grind-sell loop, but purity caps low enough that staying on Basic past the first hour bleeds efficiency. B-tier means “use until Crystal unlocks,” not “farm forever.”

Basic remains useful on alt accounts testing layouts or when you deliberately idle a secondary line while your main line runs Dark or Prismatic.

Stone Geode

Stone Geodes bridge Basic and Crystal with modest purity gains. If Stone appears cheap in early shop refreshes, buy a short stack to fund your first grinder duplicate. Once Crystal unlocks, stop restocking Stone unless cash is trapped and you need any processable ore.

C Tier — niche

Moss Geode

Moss Geodes sometimes appear in event shops with flavor text about luck modifiers. Without a confirmed luck totem active from Totems Tier List, Moss underperforms Crystal per dollar. C-tier unless an event explicitly buffs Moss purity globally.

Frost Geode

Frost Geodes process slower on standard grinders unless you own cold-specialized equipment (when available in patches). Skip unless patch notes document a Frost bonus — check Updates Hub before bulk buying.

F Tier — trap purchases

Gilded Geode (early unlock)

Gilded Geodes look premium but often cost nearly Prismatic prices while your grinders still run Crystal-tier throughput. Buying Gilded before Prismatic is affordable is the classic “shiny trap” that stalls progression. F-tier until your slowest grinder reaches late mid-game bands.

Bulk Basic stacks at rebirth

Rebirthing players who revert to massive Basic purchases “because they are cheap” erase rebirth multiplier value. F-tier behavior — after rebirth, jump straight to Crystal or Dark depending on cash plus multipliers, not tutorial ore.

Endgame note: Celestial Geode

Celestial Geodes belong in S-tier for accounts with maxed grinder lines and totem stacks, but F-tier for everyone else. Celestial purity can exceed negotiation UI expectations; pair with buyer guides before your first batch. If processing time exceeds offline cap, you lose more than you gain.
